João Carlos Mesquita Coelho

Investigador Junior
1.18 | Ed. CENIMAT

João Coelho earned a Bachelor’s (2007) and Master’s (2009) degrees in physics from University of Porto (Portugal) and received his PhD at Trinity College Dublin (Ireland) in 2016. Then he worked as a Postdoc in Prof. Nicolosi’s group at CRANN (Dublin), until he joined CENIMAt|i3N (Lisbon) in 2020 as a Junior Researcher (CEEC 2018).

Áreas de Investigação

His research interests focus on the synthesis and characterization of nanomaterials for new or improved energy storage devices, namely supercapacitors and lithium-ion batteries. Briefly, his work aims to promote the transition of current energy storage devices towards flexible and wearable technologies.

Interesses Científicos

Besides energy storage I am highly interested in nanomaterials anad nanofabrication methods.
